Women Empowerment
Background
The women from the rural and tribal areas face several constraints that prevent their development and motivation. Education for girls is been felt unimportant because of the fact that they are not going to earn. Hence they are not motivated to complete school, not spent for their personal development & vocational training and to pursue higher education. They are given less opportunity and less expended because of the savings necessary for their dowry and marriage system. Our direct survey shows that these girls have high aspirations and goals which are mostly unachieved.
Especially for women after marriage, they are not wanted to be earned, because of the responsibilities at households and lack of support from the in-laws in joint families. Generally the married women are treated merely as a family care taker.
